  For 3 years now, I have been living in a University Edge apartment for one simple reason--it is a wonderful place to live! When I moved to Carbondale from out of state, there were many details to take care of, but settling in at University Edge was a smooth transition. Without exception, the office staff have been kind, helpful, and courteous. The maintenance staff is also top-notch. One afternoon I dropped off a work request at the office, and within 20 minutes of returning to my apartment, the maintenance staff had arrived to work on it. I have never had any reason to complain about my neighbors, and I have always felt safe and secure in my building. The owners of University Edge are kind people, and they genuinely care about their tenants. I highly recommend University Edge as an affordable and comfortable place to live in Carbondale.

  This place is horrible. Please never rent here. It's always bugs in the hallway and the apartments are so tiny and trashy the kitchen is small I barely have counter space to prep my food. Back in august I signed my lease for this place without looking at it at first I was okay with whatever it had looked like because they told me it was 375 after signing my lease and viewing the apartment they told me it would be 450 because my cosigner did not have a good enough credit (I asked why did she not get approved what are the qualifications and she told me she can't discuss that with me) therefore I had to hand over 2,800 dollars (first month last month and a 700 dollar deposit) as soon as I paid they then took me to see the apartment she claimed she had been cleaning it and making sure it was ready (there wear dead flies everywhere) which doesn't make sense because the window doesn't even open. I asked if I could please get my money back the shiesty money hungry landlord refused even though I never moved in and I had just paid. They told me the only way I could get out of my lease is if I paid for a whole year. So I was forced to move on. Everytime I come home there are flies in my apartment. And I know this is not the only big problem they have because they had to do a mandatory spray there are also dead cockroaches in the hall. This place is terrible the staff is shitesty and the place is so small.
